Nursaya, 11 July 2013 – LEGOLAND Malaysia embarks on yet another milestone with the announcement of the official opening for LEGOLAND Water Park. The LEGOLAND Water Park is scheduled to open 21st October 2013 and is the next phase in the LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort plans that will consist of the Theme Park, Water Park and Hotel.
A LGEOLAND Hotel will open early next year.
Opened on 15 September last year, LEGOLAND Malaysia, the
first ever LEGOLAND theme park in Asia continues to be huge success with locals
and international tourists. The opening of the Hotel and now the LEGOLAND Water
Park will further enhance the LEGOLAND experience for families with 2 – 12 year
old children. The interactive and fully LEGO themed Water Park will offer more
than 20 unique slides, and over 70 LEGO
models among its many attractions.
Some of the highlights include hugely popular Build – A –
Raft River and Joker Soaker. The first is a unique concept where children can
customise their own raft with soft LEGO bricks before floating down a lazy
river. The latter is a fun interactive platform in the wade pool where children
can play with water cannons as a LEGO jester model ‘tells’ jokes while 350 gallons
of water pour down upon them.
This will be the largest LEGOLAND Water Park when opened and
it will also be the first to have a second gate, which means it can be enjoyed separately
or in combination with the Theme Park.
Siegfried Boerst, General Manager of LEGOLAND Malaysia
Resort said that the addition will mean families want to make more visits and
stay longer. “The Water Park will add a whole new dimension to the LEGOLAND
Malaysia experience. In total, LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort will have more 70
rides, slides, shows and attractions. This is a unique holiday destination for
the entire family to enjoy. It will offer adventure, education and fun for
action – packed day trips or longer breaks.”
Starting early August 2013, limited numbers of Premium
Annual Pass will go on sale. The Pass is valid for both the new Water Park and
the Theme park and will cost RM395. It can be used for 12 months at any time
during normal operating hours including weekends, public and school holidays.
Current Annual Pass holders can also upgrade their Pass to
the Premium Annual Pass and information will be updated on the website soon.
Visitors will be able to buy Combo Day Tickets in advance online that will
allow them entry into both parks.
The much awaited LEGOLAND Water Park will also feature two restaurants,
private cabanas for rent and a retail store on-site.
