Microtel Inn & Suites' success chronicle happens in back
to back period as they ground breaks brand new hotel expansion and enters
TripAdvisor Hall of Fame.
This June 5, 2015, the groundbreaking ceremony signals the start of construction of an additional 30 rooms to the hotel, bringing the
total room count of 90 and targeted to finish by early 2016 in preparation for

President and CEO – Microtel Philippines, Mr. Jose Mari del
Rosario, quoted, “Baguio is becoming more and more accessible because of the TPLEX,
because of the short travel time and very easy hop on – hop off via Victory
Liner. It’s very easy to come to Baguio on a quick impulse decision. As you
know, dikit na dikit ang Microtel dito sa Victory Liner Terminal, so hindi na
kailangan magdala ng kotse.” Microtel is strategically located at the heart of
Baguio, a few minutes away to SM Baguio City and Session Road, as well as to
Burnham Park and jeep terminal going to different tourist spots.
Meanwhile, Area General Manager of Microtel North Luzon, Mr. Roy Martin believed that it’s about time for an expansion to meet the increasing
number of tourist arrivals. Baguio is the top tourist destination in North
Luzon and thought that the additional 30 rooms will give the tourists a better
Baguio experience.
